Welcome to Wingoo. These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of Wingoo's dog-assisted educational, confidence-building, wellbeing, engagement, reading, workplace, and interactive experience services.
About Wingoo Wingoo Dog Experiences ("Wingoo", "we", "our", or "us") provides educational, confidence-building, wellbeing, engagement, and dog interaction experiences involving carefully selected dogs. Wingoo services may include, but are not limited to: • Confidence & Comfort Around Dogs Sessions • Reading With Dogs Sessions • Challenge Goose Experiences • Workplace Wellbeing Visits • Educational and Community Visits • Family Sessions • Group Sessions • Corporate and Workplace Events Wingoo is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical treatment, psychological treatment, psychotherapy, counselling, behavioural therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical intervention, or childcare services. Wingoo experiences are intended to provide positive opportunities for engagement, learning, confidence-building, and interaction with dogs. By booking, attending, or participating in a Wingoo service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Participant Responsibilities All participants attend Wingoo services voluntarily. Participants agree to: • Follow all reasonable instructions provided by Wingoo. • Behave respectfully towards dogs, handlers, staff, volunteers, and other participants. • Treat all dogs kindly and appropriately. • Act in a safe and responsible manner throughout the experience. • Inform Wingoo of any relevant concerns before participation. Wingoo reserves the right to pause, modify, shorten, postpone, or end any session where behaviour presents a risk to participants, dogs, staff, property, or the overall safety of the experience. Wingoo also reserves the right to refuse participation where safety, welfare, or operational concerns exist. No refund, credit, replacement session, or compensation shall be provided where a session is ended due to unsafe, inappropriate, abusive, disruptive, or aggressive behaviour.
Right to Refuse Service
Wingoo reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services where participation, behaviour, venue conditions, safeguarding arrangements, welfare concerns, safety concerns, or operational requirements make it inappropriate to continue.
- 3 Confidence & Comfort Around Dogs Sessions Confidence & Comfort Around Dogs Sessions are educational and confidence-building experiences designed to help participants develop greater understanding, familiarity, and comfort around dogs. These sessions are not: • Therapy • Counselling • Psychotherapy • Behavioural therapy • Exposure therapy • Medical treatment • Psychological treatment • Clinical intervention Every participant progresses differently. Wingoo does not guarantee: • Reduced fear or anxiety around dogs • Increased confidence around dogs • A specific level of progress • Progress within a particular timeframe • Any particular outcome following one or more sessions Participation is entirely voluntary and individuals may engage at a pace that feels appropriate to them. Fees are charged for the delivery of the experience, preparation, expertise, time, resources, and participation opportunity provided. No refund, credit, replacement session, or compensation shall be provided solely because a participant has not achieved a desired outcome or level of progress.
4 Reading With Dogs Sessions Reading With Dogs sessions are designed to provide a calm, enjoyable, and supportive environment in which participants may read aloud in the presence of a dog. Wingoo does not provide: • Literacy intervention • Educational assessment • Speech and language therapy • Tutoring services • Educational therapy • Clinical services Wingoo does not guarantee improvements in reading ability, literacy, communication skills, educational attainment, confidence, academic performance, or any other specific outcome. Reading With Dogs sessions are intended as enrichment and engagement activities only. Participants remain responsible for their own learning, educational progress, and reading development. No refund, credit, replacement session, or compensation shall be provided because a participant has not achieved a desired educational or personal outcome.
5. Challenge Goose Experiences Challenge Goose Experiences are interactive dog engagement activities involving a live dog. Participants acknowledge that Goose is a living animal whose participation, enthusiasm, energy levels, and willingness to engage may vary from session to session. Wingoo reserves the right to: • Modify activities • Replace activities • Shorten activities • Remove activities • Pause activities • End activities early where required for dog welfare, participant safety, environmental conditions, operational reasons, venue requirements, or circumstances beyond Wingoo's reasonable control. Wingoo does not guarantee: • Participation in every advertised activity • Particular scores, achievements, or results • Specific levels of engagement from Goose • Any particular outcome or experience The decision of the Wingoo handler regarding dog welfare, participation, suitability, rest periods, activity changes, modifications, postponements, or session termination shall be final. No refund, credit, replacement session, or compensation shall be due where activities are modified, adapted, shortened, replaced, or removed for welfare or safety reasons.
6 Workplace Wellbeing Visits Workplace Wellbeing Visits are designed to provide enjoyable opportunities for staff engagement and interaction with dogs. Participation is entirely voluntary. No employee, visitor, contractor, or attendee is required to interact with a dog and individuals may choose their own level of involvement. Wingoo does not guarantee improvements in: • Wellbeing • Morale • Team cohesion • Productivity • Employee engagement • Stress levels • Workplace culture • Mental health outcomes Employers remain responsible for determining whether a Wingoo experience is suitable for their workplace, employees, contractors, visitors, and guests. Wingoo reserves the right to modify activities where required for safety, welfare, venue requirements, or operational reasons.
Wingoo does not provide employee assistance services, mental health services, counselling services, occupational health services, or clinical wellbeing interventions.
7 Children, Supervision and Safeguarding The safety and wellbeing of participants is of paramount importance. Children under the age of 18 must remain under the supervision of a parent, legal guardian, teacher, responsible adult, or nominated representative throughout the duration of the session unless otherwise agreed in writing. Wingoo does not provide childcare services, supervision services, personal care, educational support services, healthcare services, or safeguarding responsibilities beyond those reasonably expected of a visiting service provider. Wingoo handlers and dogs will not be left alone with children or vulnerable adults. Schools, care homes, community organisations, workplaces, parents, guardians, and host organisations remain responsible for: • Appropriate supervision • Safeguarding arrangements • Behaviour management • Medical support requirements • Emergency procedures Wingoo reserves the right to terminate or modify a session if adequate supervision is not available or if safeguarding concerns arise.
8 Health, Allergies and Participation Participants are responsible for informing Wingoo before the session of any relevant information that may affect participation. This includes, but is not limited to: • Dog allergies • Asthma or respiratory conditions • Medical conditions • Mobility issues • Learning or communication needs • Sensory sensitivities • Significant fears or anxieties relating to dogs • Any other condition that may affect safety or participation Wingoo reserves the right to adapt, postpone, decline, or discontinue participation where safety concerns exist. Participants acknowledge that interaction with dogs may involve: • Dog hair and dander • Outdoor environments • Uneven surfaces • Physical movement • Accidental contact with a dog Wingoo cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Participants remain responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for their individual circumstances and for seeking any necessary medical advice before attending. Wingoo accepts no responsibility for medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or reactions that have not been disclosed prior to participation. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
8A.
Wingoo maintains appropriate business insurance for the services provided.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Proof of insurance may be provided to organisations, schools, workplaces, venues, or clients upon reasonable request.
8B.
Wingoo may undertake risk assessments appropriate to the venue, activity, and participants.
Host organisations remain responsible for providing accurate information regarding the venue, participants, known hazards, accessibility requirements, allergies, safeguarding requirements, and emergency procedures.
Wingoo reserves the right to modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel activities where safety concerns arise.
8C.
The host organisation, parent, guardian, school, workplace, care home, community group, or venue provider is responsible for ensuring that the venue is safe, suitable, and appropriate for the planned activity.
Wingoo reserves the right to refuse, postpone, modify, or terminate a session where the venue presents a risk to participants, dogs, handlers, or others.
9 Dog Welfare The welfare of the dogs used in Wingoo services is always the highest priority. All Wingoo activities are delivered in a manner that prioritises the physical and emotional wellbeing of the dogs involved. Wingoo reserves the right to: • Pause activities • Modify activities • Replace activities • Shorten sessions • End sessions early • Remove a dog from participation • Postpone or reschedule a booking where required for dog welfare, participant safety, environmental conditions, venue requirements, or operational reasons. Participants must not: • Chase, corner, restrain, or force interaction with a dog • Feed a dog without permission • Use physical punishment or aversive handling methods • Handle equipment without instruction • Engage in behaviour that may distress a dog The decision of the Wingoo handler regarding dog welfare, participation, suitability, rest periods, activity changes, postponements, or session termination shall be final. No refund, credit, replacement session, or compensation shall be due where activities or sessions are modified for welfare or safety reasons.
10 Photography and Video Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during Wingoo services for promotional, educational, marketing, or social media purposes. No photograph, video, or image of a child will be used without the consent of a parent, legal guardian, school, or responsible organisation where required. Participants may opt out of photography and video use by informing Wingoo before the session begins. Wingoo cannot control photographs, videos, or recordings taken by participants, visitors, parents, guardians, teachers, carers, employers, or third parties attending the event. Participants who take photographs or recordings remain responsible for complying with applicable privacy, safeguarding, and data protection requirements.
11 Bookings and Payment Bookings are confirmed only when payment has been received or written confirmation has been issued by Wingoo. Wingoo reserves the right to decline, refuse, postpone, or cancel bookings where necessary for operational, welfare, safety, safeguarding, or practical reasons. Prices may change at any time, although confirmed bookings will not be affected by subsequent price changes. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be made before the scheduled service takes place. Wingoo reserves the right to refuse participation where payment has not been received. Any quotation provided by Wingoo is valid for the period stated within the quotation or, where no period is specified, for 30 days from the date of issue.
12. Cancellation and Rescheduling. All Wingoo bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.Wingoo commits time, preparation, diary availability, travel planning, equipment preparation, and dog welfare resources to each booking. For this reason, refunds are not offered for client cancellations.Individual, Family, Reading With Dogs, Challenge Goose and Confidence & Comfort BookingsIf you are unable to attend your scheduled booking:More than 48 hours before the booking• One complimentary reschedule may be offered, subject to availability.Less than 48 hours before the booking• The booking fee will be forfeited.• Rescheduling is not guaranteed and remains entirely at Wingoo's discretion.Failure to Attend (No-Show)• The booking fee will be forfeited.• No refund, credit, replacement session, or compensation will be provided.Rescheduled bookings must be used within three months of the original booking date unless otherwise agreed by Wingoo.Wingoo reserves the right to refuse repeated rescheduling requests.Corporate, Workplace, School, Care Home, Community and Group BookingsAll group bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.Requests to change a booking date should be made at least 14 days before the scheduled visit.Wingoo will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date, subject to availability.Requests made within 14 days of the scheduled booking may not be eligible for rescheduling.If Wingoo Needs to RescheduleWingoo reserves the right to postpone, shorten, modify, reschedule, or cancel a booking where necessary due to:• Dog illness• Dog welfare concerns• Handler illness• Severe weather• Safety concerns• Venue issues• Travel disruption• Circumstances beyond Wingoo's reasonable controlWhere possible, an alternative date will be offered.If Wingoo is unable to provide the booked service and no alternative date can reasonably be agreed, a refund may be provided.Last updated: June 2026.
