Paws in Motion session with dog and participants

Chair-Based Movement & Connection with a Wingoo Dog

Gentle, enjoyable group sessions bringing together chair-based movement, sensory activities and the companionship of Winnie or Goose.

Using colourful scarves, sensory equipment, balls and simple guided activities, participants can move, create and connect in ways that feel comfortable for them.

Everyone takes part in their own way.

There is no pressure to keep up or complete a particular movement. Activities can be adapted, and taking part might mean joining in, watching, chatting or simply enjoying having Winnie or Goose nearby.

Interaction with Winnie or Goose is always a choice.

What might we do?
We might use scarves for gentle reaching and upper-body movement, sensory equipment for hand and wrist movements, or balls for throwing and aiming. Activities vary from session to session and are adapted to the group. Winnie or Goose may join some activities or simply spend time alongside the group.

Comfort and wellbeing come first.
Sessions are planned with the setting and adapted with participants' comfort, mobility and individual needs in mind. Winnie or Goose remains with their handler throughout, and their welfare is considered at every stage. Their involvement can be changed or paused and they can take a quiet break whenever needed.

Paws in Motion is a recreational wellbeing activity and is not physiotherapy, rehabilitation, medical treatment or a clinical exercise programme.
